Happiness

If happiness is stolen from my heart,
and all else seems to fade into the dark,
I cannot see the road ahead, a nothing seems to have an effect.
I'll remember to rejoice and rejoice again in the Lord as you have said,
to find my joy in the Lord instead.

When waves sway me left and right,
and I cannot seem to steer it right,
Let your light guide my path,
and the stillness of the peace lead my heart.

It's never the end when sadness hits,
When guilt lays in and pain takes hold,
When I think to myself, this is too much,
There's no way! You told me there is a way.
When I said there is no forgiveness, you say There is only forgiveness,
When guilt fills my heart, and I see you on the cross,
I consider and wonder how you did it all,
and yet to deny the works of your love,
to say that I don't deserve it, well though it's true,
You still gave it, and the value of it is more than all the treasures of this world.
I consider sin no more, but if I hold unforgiveness in my heart, let it be released.
Even if it is to myself, let I be released.

For today I proclaim the Lords death and His resurrection power in my life!
As assuredly as I live on this earth, the Joy of the Lord is my strength,
So I leave my prayers and petitions at your feet, knowing full well with thanks, that only you can satisfy.

Amen.

Who shall Seperate us?

"35 Who shall ever separate us from Christ’s love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?
36 Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors [m]and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things [n]impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers,
39 Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8: 35 - 39

Dear Friends, brothers and sisters, I appologise for not blogging as often as I should heh, but the recent days have been tough, and I have been thinking upon things, to go after things which are not the way I should go and my heart was in great disagreement and stress because of this, but I am glad to have some what settled it.

Now today, I am not going to blog much, but I just want to put out that verse in Romans, I want you to know, that in no matter what situation, nothing absolutely nothing can separate you from the love of Christ, That you are able and well equipped, you are of Christ and that you are more than just a conqueror. As it says in the verse you have SURPASSING victory, not just victory through Him who loved us :). I want to say to all of you, no ones useless and God hasn't once hated you, He hasn't looked down on His creation and say this one is one that I hate and nothing can change that, simply because if you're in Christ, there's no way He can see a wretch but only someone who has surpassing victory. I want you to know if things don't seem right, when you feel alone, it's okay to complain to God, to tell Him your feelings, and well most of all, it's okay to share it with your fellow brothers and sisters, whome you know are trustworthy and holy to tell :). If you know someone who wants to share do not scorn or throw things at him but listen and uplift, love and well, if they can't feel or think to see or think to not be able to hear God, be with them through this storm and both of you always remember that Jesus is above the storms, and yes if you are helping and can help then so you are one of the blessing He has sent.

Stay blessed and always know you're loved not only by Christ but by us too!

Amen.

To face the something of nothing

"This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you." - John 15:12

Actually I'll be honest, I don't have any idea why I put that title, but I want to blog.

Standing in the face of destiny, some people believe we can change things, other believe we are on an impossible mission to run others lives, but our command is simple, Love. Yes, it's that simple, love is not a tough task, but as I am human it hurts sometimes when you love. people can put you down, hurt you and spit in your face. Simply because you show them love.

But does this mean we should do the same? is it our job to change their opinion about us? to make them love us? to show them that we are very Holy? No! If we truly say we are holy by our own rights, then I believe we have all missed the mark, we are only clean because of what Christ did, when he died and fulfilled the Law for us. He said love your enemy, Love your neighbor, above all else love God our Father. But what is love, it has become such a complex thing when it's so simple.

We have stamped so much on love, when it's about opening the heart, to be beaten without fighting back, what a fool one must say? but look at yourself and examine, are you the one striking or loving? when someone falls, could you pick them up? when someone is hurt, could you help? when someone is cold could you give a hug? some clothes? a shelter for the night? a cup of water to the thirsty. If you had a dollar in your pocket would you look and say, this is not a real beggar, this is a GANGSTER But is this how we really Love? So what if they are not exactly Like us. Did Jesus said to the world when he was being Crucified These are Gangsters I won't GIVE to them, an evil wretched species, who has no good in them? Instead He stood and said “Father, forgive them, because they don’t know what they are doing.” - Luke 23:34

What are we doing? are we an army of CHRISTians or an army of JUDGES... No I am not saying that you don't correct a brother or sister who is coming to RUIN. Of course there must be a love to take people OUT from sin, but the key is to do it with love the moment we realize that we have no power to Change people are that it's God who does it perhaps that's when we will learn to love.

I stand here with a heavy heart... in the chaos of my own created by my heart, I only see a winding road. yet a part of me reminds me, that no matter the journey God is with me, that love should rule my heart and not anger or pain. I stand wondering how Jesus did it all, looking and knowing each of our heart, full of darkness and deceit.. But perhaps that's not what He Saw, Perhaps,  He saw that each of us were yearning to be better, to be purer, to be good, to have a sense of love, a  belonging, to have peace, to have all this chaos stopped, to have a way to God, that in all our craziness and pain, stuck in coldness and with no where to run, to not able to find any healing, yearning after a God we think is far away, whilst He is closer than we think.

In all I do, I fail, but in all He has done, I can say I am glad, it was His love, to be able to see pass my ugly and into my potential, to see pass my failures and put my arm around his shoulder, to take a burden He well knew I could not carry, to give me a Spirit to fulfill all He has destined me to do, to make me go on a different level, in love,..

“God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life." - John 3:16

"Have I any pleasure in the death of the wicked? says the Lord, and not rather that he should turn from his evil way and return [to his God] and live?" - Ezekiel 18:23

"Jonah was furious. He lost his temper. He yelled at God, “God! I knew it—when I was back home, I knew this was going to happen! That’s why I ran off to Tarshish! I knew you were sheer grace and mercy, not easily angered, rich in love, and ready at the drop of a hat to turn your plans of punishment into a program of forgiveness!
“So, God, if you won’t kill them, kill me! I’m better off dead!”
God said, “What do you have to be angry about?” " - Jonah 4:1-4

A foothold?

"26 When angry, do not sin; do not ever let your wrath (your exasperation, your fury or indignation) last until the sun goes down.27 Leave no [such] room or foothold for the devil [give no opportunity to him]." Eph 4:26-27 (AMP)
"8 Again, the devil took Him up on a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and the glory (the splendor, magnificence, preeminence, and excellence) of them.9 And he said to Him, These things, all taken together, I will give You, if You will prostrate Yourself before me and do homage and worship me.10 Then Jesus said to him, Begone, Satan! For it has been written, You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him alone shall you serve.11 Then the devil departed from Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him." - Mat 4:8-11
Most times, we should try our best not to give a foothold to the devil, not even the smallest window of opportunity to come and challenge or tempt us, to derail us from our faith. Simple things not only anger is included into this, sometimes perhaps just not going online for a long period of time can help rob the opportunity away, sometimes turning off the tv at a certain time, not watching a certain series, yeah, I am not saying the TV is evil, neither am I saying the internet is bad! If it were then how would I blog?

But there are times when it's impossible to evade the devil, times when you draw so close to God, he hates it and whispers in your ears, "do you really think you are in his grace?" or " isn't it a bit to quiet " . Now in situations like this what do you do? Well to be honest, just rebuke him, there is no need to have a heated argument with him, and command him to leave in the name of Jesus. Jesus did not entertain him, but rebuked him, in fact more than once did he rebuke satan, and the most amazing part is, satan has to listen. Now this doesn't mean go out and find satan, coz that's literally saying, come get me, and by doing so you're giving him footholds. Instead think about things that are worthy of praise, good, think about whatever is lovely what ever is pure :). Remember always who you are in Christ, more so who you are now as a child of the Most high, whom we can now call aba father!

"8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them]." - Phillipians 4:8

A Jar of blessings

I know it's been a while since I posted, and well it's simply because I haven't really gotten any inspiration to post. But I thought I'd keep this updated and now things are flowing in to my mind! here it goes~~~

Earlier this month, I had a tough time, and well frankly felt like I was the worst kinda person to our Father I could be, obviously that was a lie, and later on wrote the psalm you saw in my previous post... Now I had a plan to talk about a jar of blessings, but for some reason I'd like to talk more about Psalms.

Most recently I have been reading The bible Jesus read by Philip Yancey. It talks about Psalms in one of the chapters. It brings realism into our relationship with God I would say, a Psalm is amazing in this one thing, it's not all about the good things that happens, but also about the worst things that can happen in life, and how we as people feel distant to God, we complain and well, it's kinda like a personal walk with God. Though a lot of Psalms I would say praises God, they also bring their problems together to God, and sometimes even bring praises in places where it just seems like we did it. some revelation it was, every good we do, we can and should give all glory to God, be it, a promotion, or escaping death slimly by some sort of skill. That's how David did it, it is quite amazing...

With that said, I am going to come back to my topic Jar of blessings, I was down and a friend of mine said let's get a jar and everyday write some good that happened in our lives to it. I agreed, and well it's really filling up now. Simple things we forgo and think is normal can always be a praise to our Father. for instance, a friend, Awakening in the morning, beauty of nature, safety to walk, a watch, a car, a laptop, your church, legs to walk, eyes to see, ears to hear, a video, songs, water, escaping something which you know will put you at a dead end, solving issues that were stuck with you all day and night and the list goes on! I'll tell you it has been great, I called my jar a Jar of blessings, and frankly I encourage you too, if you can to create something similar if you don't have a jar use a box or something :) at the end of the year 2013, open it up and read it again, and see how much you have to be thankful for all the things God has done, both small and BIG! Everything, absolutely everything, can be a blessing. So let's give him all the glory! :).

Many blessings and love from,
Chris
