If I am without love, what am I?

If I did all the good works in the world, but lacked love, what would it be but an empty ringing of works, as of a robot, emotionless and cold.

If I sang a thousand worship songs, psalms and hymns but had no love, it is just an empty voice ringing in the sky.

If I performed a thousand miracles but had no love, it would be but a magic show, causing awe and wonder but the misinterpretation of who Christ is.

If I could speak in a thousand tongues and interpret but not love, I am just a sound. Nothing more nothing less..

For without love, I cease to live in the saviour I so believe. If I walk out of love, into judgment, what good am I? should I be so proud and forsake a child a cup of water? or cloth a man on the street?

Love. is essential.
God is love.

Called to instill fear?

Truth is Christians were never called to instill fear, none of what Jesus did instill fear, only thing he caused at most was a lot of angry Pharisees. Well minus the fact when some who did see him killed, sorta feared when they came to realise who Jesus was and is.

For all you who think Christianity is all about Hell, I got to say Hell is so Minute in the bible and over exaggerated by many across the world. Don't get me wrong, it's a terrible place and it's not one I believe any one would like to go. But I will say this, if I as a Christian had to Go to hell so that you may be saved, I would do it, I would rather suffer eternity in your place than to have a chance of you suffering.

See this is the truth. Christians are people who should carry love, I know I am being very distant by using Christians instead of we brothers and sisters, but it is true. Did Christ come into the world and preach how sinful are you? that you will go to hell, please save yourself so that you won't end up there. No He went around and did these things:

"The blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed (by healing) and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up and the poor have good news (the Gospel) preached to them." - Matt 11:5

Was His purpose to remind us of Hell? far from it, He died to remind us of heaven and who we are, what we are, we are not some creatures made by chance, something that just exists because we do and have no actual significance in this universe. some advanced form of apes that can talk and make weapons.. Far from it, we are humans, made created in the image of God, not called to darkness of death, purposelessness, drunkardness, self gain, or what not. But towards tendering the earth, taking care of one another. Loving. And by far the least, but probably the most important, Creations of God whom He loves dearly and holds with much esteem.

You see the point here is Christians should carry a banner of joy and not condemnation, love and not hate, taking a bullet where others did not deserve to live. Because frankly speaking that's what Jesus did, took the bullet for us even though we deserved it on so many levels.

Look at this one command:

“This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you." - John 15:12

Don't walk out of this, but continuously walk towards it, you'll find that it isn't as hard as it sounds.

To all you who are not Christians, I welcome you to go a church where you might find Christians who love, ask them about their joy, and why they are so willing. There is no spells/magic/psychology behind it, pure and honest that's what it should be and sorry to break it to you, we're all uniquely different and some are not as loving as you would wish. Perhaps asking the pastor  Himself would help you understand better. At the end of the day it's not about converting you, convincing you that you need Christ.

It's simply this:

We are sharing the good news, if you believe it then just believe it. it's for your ears and between you and God at the end of the day.

But please by far, don't forsake the others :) all are important in one.

Love,
Chris
